World’s Only Five-Billion Star Concierge Alpine Skiing

Who’d have thought that the “world’s only five-billion star concierge alpine skiing” would be in Wyoming? And not in Jackson. And not anywhere even near a respectable ski hill, let alone a ski mountain.

Ever heard of Savery, Wyoming? Me neither. Mr. Google showed me its way out in southern Wyoming just about on the Colorado line, a dozen miles east of Baggs. And we all know where Baggs is.

It takes a certain level of cowboy chutzpah to pull this off, but they’re sure trying at the Three Forks Ranch.  Here’s their pitch: They offer chauffeured limousine service for their guests to Steamboat Springs. En route guests can enjoy coffee and breakfast croissants. At Steamboat guests are met by their guide/instructor and get expedited equipment fitting and , of course, no ticket window or liftline waiting. The guide/instructor will provide instruction if necessary,  will guide guests to the best skiing for their ability, and take them to uncrowded areas on the mountain. Lunch reservations are made for guests and apres ski libations await them in the limo for their ride back to the ranch.

Ah yes, that ride to and from the ranch? In a limo, whats an hour and a half to two hour drive- each way? I guess with a well stocked limo, it’ll seem like nothing.

Cost: including meals: $1000-$1500 per person per night.
