60″ of powder in October
October 25th, 2008Posted in Skiing Everywhere
I never heard of Pony, Montana until my son Evan informed me that over Columbus Day Weekend he and some friends noticed that the SNOTEL monitor there was reporting 42″ of new snow by Saturday night. Evan and his friends were getting psyched that evening to ski the 20″ that had fallen on the Bridger Range when they noticed the even more incredible reading from SNOTEL for Pony. Incredibly, by Sunday morning, SNOTEL was reporting 60″ for Pony!
Here is Evan’s account of the epic day in five feet of fresh powder on October 12th!
