The US Nordic Ski Team is setting records

When was the last time a US Ski Team led in the medals count at either a World Championship or an Olympics? If you can’t think of a time either, from now on remember February 2009. Today, Kikkan Randall grabbed a Silver medal in the Women’s 1.3 Km Sprint event, giving the US a total of 5 medals so far- the most of any nation competing at the Nordic World Championships in Liberec in the Czech Republic. Remarkable. Not since the 1982 Olympics in Lake Placid has a US nordic skier claimed a medal in a cross-country race. Go team!
