A European Way To Save Money On Skiing
March 8th, 2009Posted in Skiing Everywhere
Last night while cleaning out old Budget Travel magazines we spotted an article on nudist skiing. There are some European resorts catering to people who, I guess, don’t think winter is cold enough. Obertraun in Austria offers a secluded 2 mile cross-country loop for nudists. Downhillers get into the act too at Hochfugen and Ramsau am Dachstein. I guess one way to have more money for lift tickets these days would be to save on expensive ski clothes. I hope these places don’t use poma lifts.
Euro wisdom is that early March is the time for sking in the nude. It is getting warmer, but the sun isn’t so bright to cause reflection burns in uncomfortable places.
I wonder if the nude skiers are fans of global warming?
