November Whites
November 5th, 2008Posted in Skiing in the Tetons
A double entendre was not in my mind when typed in the title of this short post, but it fits.
Yesterday at about this time the rain changed over to beautiful white snow outside my window as the temperature continued to drop. The Teton Pass webcam showed a slippery snow covered road and clouds clung to the Tetons. By this morning, SNOTEL is showing Targhee has picked up over a foot of snow since the storm began (with the Jackson side of the mountains getting nearly as much) and the Teton Valley’s floor is white this morning too. Winter and good skiing has inched a bit closer!
And yesterday, white voters proved that they were ready to take a big step into the future and away from a shameful past by electing a black man as president.
Both of these things make me very happy this morning.
