Targhee’s Carpool Sunday Program Is Off To A Solid Start
February 26th, 2009Posted in Skiing in the Tetons
Great news from John Urdi, Grand Targhee’s Marketing Director-
The first Grand Targhee “Carpool Sunday” was a great success with more than 200 coupons being handed out and roughly 60 vehicles participating. Some drove in asking point blank where to pick up coupons (one truck in particular with about 8 people packed in) and others were pleasantly surprised to be rewarded for helping us save winter.
All in all, I expect the coming Carpool Sundays to be even bigger as word gets out. Passholders were even excited to receive the coffee/hot chocolate coupons for carpooling as well.
Nice to know that people realize they need to be part of the solution and we hope these skiers and riders decide to make this an everyday occurrence and not just a Sunday special.
See you (and at least two others in your vehicle) this Sunday and every Sunday until closing day on April 12th!
With the price of gas creeping higher and the planet getting warmer, I hope programs like this spread to other resorts- and businesses and schools. Good work Grand Targhee!
